My Friend’s Place
My Friend’s Place assists and inspires homeless youth to build self-sufficient lives. Offering emergency necessities with therapeutic, health and education services, MFP serves nearly half of the homeless youth in Los Angeles.
The Felix Organization
Started by Emmy Award winning casting director, Sheila Jaffe and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, The Felix Organization provides inspiring opportunities and new experiences to enrich the lives of children who are growing up in the foster care system.
The Los Angeles Youth Network
The Los Angeles Youth Network’s mission is to empower abused, neglected and homeless adolescents to become self-sufficient. LAYN provides street outreach, food, emergency shelter, a transitional living program, and educational enrichment programs in a safe and nurturing environment. Live Ice House developed its music enrichment program “Write Off the Street” in partnership with LAYN and holds bi-weekly classes at their housing facilities.
Write Off the Street
Write Off the Street was created to provide music lessons and song writing workshops to homeless and at risk youth in Hollywood. The goal of the program is to help youth gain power over their experiences on the street and to foster a creative outlet for expression.
